Rachel Fannan (born Rachel Marie Williams) is an American singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and poet from Thousand Oaks, California, born on March 20, 1986. She made her musical debut in 2008 with the solo album Deeper Lurking, released under the moniker “Birds Fled from Me”. Between 2007 and 2010, Fannan served as the co-lead vocalist for Sleepy Sun, appearing on the albums Embrace (2009) and Fever (2010). In late 2010, she founded the group Only You, releasing the single “Applying Myself” in 2012. Her collaborations include the UNKLE tracks “Follow Me Down” and “Sunday Song”, and the project Anywhere, for which she recorded the single “Dead Golden West” (2011). In 2019, Fannan recorded for the Black Mountain album Destroyer and toured with the band. That same year, she performed as a drummer for Pussy Riot. Her other work includes the track “Crimson Cloud” for Devil May Cry 5 (2018) and the poetry book No One Wants to Give Up (2017).
