Siméon Félix Valvert (April 21, 1905 – November 3, 1995) was a French composer, bandleader, and musician from Guadeloupe. Born in Basse-Terre, he moved to Paris as a teenager, where he began performing in cabarets, initially as a banjo player before turning to the saxophone. He later formed his own orchestra and became one of the early Antillean bandleaders active in the Paris music scene. In the early 1930s, he recorded biguines such as “Gade dentelles” and “Karukara”, including sessions in London. During World War II, he left Paris but returned afterward, continuing to perform in Parisian venues until his retirement in 1976. He died in Basse-Terre in 1995.
