Silvia Penide is a Spanish singer-songwriter and guitarist born on July 26, 1979, in A Coruña. She began composing at age 13 and self-released her first demo, Alicerce, in 1997. Penide released her debut album, Kilómetros, in 2003, followed by Invisible (2005) and Desafinante crónica (2007). Her discography includes the EP Las Erres Dobles (2010) and the albums Animal de compañía (2012), Todo Pintado de Plata (2016), El Efecto Boomerang (2019), and Los Días de Plomo (2021). Penide’s music has been featured on radio programs such as Radio 3 and M80, and she has performed in countries including Croatia, Italy, and Germany. A two-time winner of the Premio Martín Códax de la Música Gallega in the Pop/Indie and Songwriter categories, Penide also received the Premio Alas en tus pies. In 2023, she was awarded the Premio Literario Frei Martín Sarmiento for her children's book, Diferentes Diferencias.
