Jono El Grande is the stage name of Norwegian composer, bandleader, and conductor Jon Andreas Håtun, born in Norway in 1973. Håtun formed the punk group Mannes Fatales in 1989 and several concept bands in the early 1990s. In 1995, Håtun established the performance art group Menü Tizz Aura and later the ensemble Vidunderlige Vidda. Their debut album, Utopian Dances (1999), featured recordings from the 1995 to 1999 period. Subsequent recordings include Fevergreens (2003), Neo Dada (2009), Phantom Stimulance (2010), and The Choko King (2011). Håtun served as the festival composer for Happy Days 2007 and became a member of the Norwegian Society of Composers in 2010. Their discography includes Melody of a Muddled Mason (2015), Artificial Stupidity (2018), and The Avant-gardist's Dilemma (2024).
