case/lang/veirs was a Canadian-American supergroup formed in Portland, Oregon in 2013. The band consisted of Neko Case, k.d. lang, and Laura Veirs. The trio came together when k.d. lang invited Neko Case and Laura Veirs to join her via a one-line email, leading to an affirmative response from both musicians within 30 minutes. By this point, the three had collectively recorded over 30 studio albums. Their debut album, case/lang/veirs, was released on June 17, 2016, followed by a 19-city summer tour. The group's sound was described as alt-country, blending their individual styles into a cohesive and collaborative effort.
