Koenraad Desiré Arthur Crucke, known professionally as Koen Crucke, was born on February 11, 1952, in Ghent, Belgium. He is a Belgian singer and actor, primarily known for his work in opera and operetta. Crucke's career began with the fusion of the operas of Antwerp and Ghent, where he lost his employment along with many other singers. This led him to join the Belgische Radio- en Televisieomroep (BRT), now known as VRT, as a television personality. Crucke released several albums throughout his career, including Van Nu Af Aan in 1990 and Parlami d'Amore in 1993. He is also recognized for his role as the coiffeur Albert (Alberto) Vermeersch in the television series Samson en Gert.
