Nice Little Penguins, a Danish pop music trio, was formed in 1983 when Bo Feierskov and brothers Michael and Carsten Kolster began playing music together. Initially serving as a backing group for Danish singer Ania Sandig on her single "Du Tænker", the band later evolved into a duo featuring Bo and Michael while Carsten pursued a career as a professional drummer. They reunited in 1987, expanding their repertoire to include jazz, beat, Nordic folk music, and original compositions, which set them apart from other bands of that era.
In 1992, the trio officially adopted the name Nice Little Penguins, aiming to distance themselves from the perceived aggressive rock scene with a more innocuous-sounding name. Their debut album Beat Music was released in 1993, followed by Flying in 1995, World You Can Live In in 1997 and 2021's Beat Music Vol. 2.
