Arif Susam, born in 1956 in Harput, Elazığ, Turkey, is a Turkish musician. He began his career playing keyboards and singing in local clubs and restaurants, eventually recording a demo that secured him an eight-figure record deal with Şahin Plakçılık. In 1982, Susam started performing live every night at Köşem Restaurant in Tarabya, Istanbul, a residency that lasted for 14 years. His double live album Tavernada Yıldönümü, released in 1986, sold over 1.2 million copies, making him the only artist to go platinum in Turkey at the time. Throughout his career, Susam released numerous albums including Efsane Aşk (1984), Kara Kara (1985), and Kararsız Gönlüm (1987). He also appeared in several films such as Kader Utansın (1987) and Hatıram Olsun (1988).
