Umut Altun, better known by his stage name Amo (born June 20, 2005 in Kamp-Lintfort, NRW, Germany), is a German hip-hop/rap artist with Kurdish roots who became known through the casting show Rap La Rue. He came third and impresses with his fast, humorous double-time rapping. Signed to 385idéal in 2023, he released his debut single "Amo aller Amos" in April 2024, which entered the German singles charts in advance (number 28). On November 8, 2024, his first studio album Amo aller Amos is released, produced by 385i and Sony, with guest contributions from Aymen, Nimo, Celo & Abdi and other rap colleagues. The album reaches number 15 in the German hip-hop album charts and generates over 150 million streams on social media within weeks. Numerous singles are released in the run-up: "Sharmuta", "Ayaya", "Danse" (feat. ilo 7araga), "Telele", "Alles flauschig" (feat. Jiyo), "Umbrella", "Hass", "Solo", "Arielle", "Violett" (feat. Schubi AKpella), "Alles Paletti", "X" (with Shabab), "Baba aller Babas", "Arbeitsamt" (feat. Abdi) and "Saroukh" (feat. Celo). Further successful features appear with Rap La Rue, among others: "Baile" reaches number 51 in the charts and stays there for eight weeks. The new album SSJ follows at the end of July 2025. Pre-release singles include "Rapstar" (with Nimo, position 9), "Blutbad" (with Mero, position 40), "Picasso" (with Aymen, position 29), "Amo aller Amos", "Milano", "A General" and "Dunya" (position 29).
