Corazón Argentino Ledesma (June 24, 1928 – August 6, 2004) was an Argentine tango singer from Santiago del Estero. He began his musical career in the late 1940s performing with Oscar Segundo Carrizo before relocating to Buenos Aires in 1952. Ledesma joined Héctor Varela's orchestra, replacing Armando Laborde, and recorded the singles “Novia provinciana” and “Yo también”. In 1954, he recorded “Fumando espero” for Columbia Records. Following a tenure with Carlos Di Sarli in 1956, he returned to the Varela ensemble. In 1957, Ledesma launched a solo career with an orchestra directed by Jorge Dragone. His discography featured the albums Tango mío (1968) and Cuartito azul (1969), and the songs “En el cielo” and “Zapatitos de raso”. Ledesma toured Europe, Latin America, Australia, and Japan. He recorded approximately 700 tracks for labels including EMI Odeon, Microfón, and CBS. He appeared in the film El asalto (1960). In August 6, 2004, Ledesma died in Buenos Aires.
