San Glaser, born Alexandra Angelin Buurke on January 7, 1968 in Hoogezand-Sappemeer, Netherlands, is a Dutch singer known for her work in jazz, soul, and pop music. She began playing the recorder at age four and received electronic organ lessons at nine. Her musical journey took a significant turn at 15 when she met her father, Maurits Hitijahubessy, who supported her ambitions. In 2005, Glaser released her debut album Never in Vain, which garnered positive reviews. She formed the San Glaser Band and collaborated with KJ Denhert on several tracks. Her second album, New Road (2008), topped Number 1 of the iTunes Jazz Charts for weeks and received national critical acclaim. She founded Dutchland Music in 2012 after parting ways with Flash Records. In 2014, she released Beautiful Stranger, expanding her musical horizons to include singer-songwriter and folk elements.
