Faia Younan, born on June 20, 1992 in Tell Tamer, Syria, is a Syrian-Assyrian singer. She moved to Sweden at age 11 and later studied Social Sciences; Economics and Business at Glasgow University. In October 2014, her viral YouTube video "To Our Countries" featuring renditions of Lebanese diva Fairuz's songs marked her breakthrough. This led to the release of her debut single "Ohebbou Yadayka," which earned her a Guinness World Record for being the first Middle Eastern artist to crowd fund their debut song. In 2017, she released her debut album A Sea Between Us. Her second album, Tales of The Heart, was released digitally in March 2019.
