Albert Dadon, known professionally as Albare, was born in 1957 in Morocco and later moved to Israel and France before emigrating to Melbourne, Australia. He is a jazz guitarist and composer who began his music career under the pseudonym Albare. His first albums were released with Festival Records in Australia, including Travel Diary (2010) and Long Way (2012). In addition to his musical endeavors, Dadon has been actively involved in cultural and philanthropic activities. He founded the Australia-Israel Leadership Forum in 2009 and was appointed artistic director of the Melbourne Jazz Festival from 2006 to 2007. His contributions to jazz were recognized with an Order of Australia (AM) in 2008.
