Estrella Torres, born in Pacasmayo, Peru, on July 4, 1997, began her music career at 16 as a member of the popular cumbia group Corazón Serrano, where she rose to national fame performing hits like “Cuatro mentiras,” “Con la misma moneda,” and “Decidí vivir sin ti.” After leaving the group in 2015, she co-founded the all-female ensemble Puro Sentimiento with fellow ex-members, releasing new versions of well-loved songs such as “Días felices.” In parallel, she also appeared in the Peruvian telenovela Ven, baila, quinceañera and later formed a duo with singer Tommy Portugal, releasing romantic tracks like “Me enamoré,” which featured in the TV series De vuelta al barrio. Following her departure from Puro Sentimiento in 2021, Torres launched a solo career with the single “Ahí donde me ven,” followed by a cover medley “Mix Ha*Ash.” She collaborated with Luis Baca on “Hasta que tú me quieras,” a theme song for Junta de vecinos, and continued releasing songs blending romantic ballads and pop-infused cumbia. In 2023, she released the track "Qué agonía" and remained a frequent presence on Peruvian television.
