The Wadali Brothers, Puranchand Wadali and Pyarelal Wadali, are Sufi singers from Guru Ki Wadali in Amritsar District, Punjab, India. Born into a musical family, they initially pursued different professions before dedicating themselves to music. Their breakthrough came in 1975 when they performed at Harballabh Temple in Jalandhar and were recorded by an All India Radio executive. The duo released their first EP Farid in 2004 and the album Aa Mil Yaar in 2005, which included notable songs like "Paigham-E-Ishq" and "Ishq Musafir". They also contributed to Bollywood films such as Pinjar (2003) and Dhoop (2003). The Wadali Brothers received several awards, including the Sangeet Natak Akademi Award in 1992, the Padma Shri award by the Government of India in 2005. Pyarelal Wadali passed away on March 4, 2018, due to cardiac arrest.
