The Flyboys were an American punk rock band formed in Arcadia, California, United States, in 1975 before the first wave of American punk. The band consists of guitarist and vocalist John Curry, bassist and vocalist David Wilson, and drummer Dennis Walsh. The group became prominent in the Los Angeles punk rock scene around 1976 and 1977. Their first release was a recording released on the band's own record label in July 1976, which sold through its initial pressing of 1,000 copies. In early 1980, they released their debut EP Flyboys on Frontier Records, featuring songs like "I Couldn't Tell" and "Dear John". The band broke up later that year. Curry went on to work with The Plugz, although he left the band shortly, and formed Choir Invisible with Scott Lasken and Tim Sincavage. The Flyboys reunited in 2003 for LA Weekly's 25th anniversary party, and again in 2007 for Brendan Mullen’s book release on The Masque. In 2009, the band performed as The Edwardo Show.
