Standfast were a Swedish alternative rock and pop duo from Stockholm formed in 1997. The group consisted of vocalist Suzanne Mosson and guitarist Patrick Tucker. They achieved professional recognition after signing with the label EMI, which issued their debut single, “Carcrashes” (2001). The track reached success across Europe and was followed by their eponymous debut studio album, Standfast (2001). Their recording career includes the track “Lullaby for Lucas” (2003), which appeared in the film Turn Left, Turn Right. They released their second studio album, Beneath & Beyond (2007), through their own label, Beastie Music Records. The record featured the track “Love for Life” (2007) and the single “Skin to Skin” (2007), both of which were featured in the television series The L Word. The ensemble disbanded in 2007.
