Jessica Ekomane is a French-born, Berlin-based electronic musician and sound artist. In 2001, she started her music career as a DJ in France, evolving into live performances and installations by 2014. Her work manipulates space and audience through psychoacoustics, rhythmic structures, and interplay of noise/melody, often seeking cathartic effects.
In 2019, Ekomane released her first LP via Important Records. She collaborated with Natascha Süder Happelman for the German Pavilion at the Venice Biennale and joined SHAPE Platform's roster of artists for 2019. Ekomane hosts a monthly show on Cashmere Radio, "Open Sources," focusing on linking folk and traditional music with contemporary experiments. Her work has been presented in various institutions across Asia, Australia, and Europe.
