Antonius Rex was an Italian progressive rock band formed in 1974 in Milan by Antonio Bartoccetti. The group initially gained recognition as a continuation of Jacula, another band led by Bartoccetti. Under the name Antonius Rex, the band released their debut album, Neque Semper Arcum Tendit Rex, in 1974. Following this, they continued with notable releases including Zora (1977), Ralefun (1978), and Anno Demoni (1979). The band's later works include Praeternatural (2003), Magic Ritual (2004), and Switch On Dark (2006). Antonius Rex is recognized for their contributions to the progressive rock genre.
