Waleed Shabazz, known professionally as C-Rayz Walz, is an American rapper born on August 3, 1979, in the Bronx, New York. Raised in a musically rich environment, Shabazz began freestyling with friends and engaging in rap battles during his school days. His early career saw the release of The Prelude (1999) and contributions to Detonator Records Volume 1 (2001), which featured collaborations with Akrobatik, Breez Evahflowin, and Chan. In 2003, he released Ravipops (The Substance) on Definitive Jux. Subsequent releases included Year of the Beast (2005) and Who The F%@k Are You? (2009). C-Rayz Walz was also part of notable collaborations such as Monster Maker (2007) with Sharkey, and Original S.I.N. (2008) with Almighty and Killah Priest.
