Purple City, an American hip hop group from Harlem, New York, was formed in 2000. The original members included Shiest Bub, Agallah, Antonio "Un Kasa" Wilder & E-Norm. Purple City's inception began when Shiest Bub met Cam'Ron of The Diplomats at a shoe store, leading to a mentorship that helped launch the group. Notable members who joined the roster over the years include A-Mafia, Ben Bostaph, Den10, Doe Boy Choch, Lyrical Stress, OMC, Smoke DZA, Streets da Block, Tommy, Topher Tsunami, and Smoke & Numbers. They started releasing mixtapes and eventually released their first album Road to the Riches in 2005, followed by Paris to Purple City later that year and The Purple Album in 2006.
