Manel Camp i Oliveras, born on April 20, 1947, in Manresa, Barcelona, Spain, was a Spanish composer and pianist. His career began with the group Fusioon, followed by various collective experiences including the Manel Camp Trio, duets with Josep Mas "Kitflus," collaborations with percussionist Santi Arisa, the Acústic Jazz Quintet, and the Quartet Jazz Songs. Camp's discography includes over 30 albums, starting with Poesi Secreta in 1985, followed by Escàndols (1988), Viu (1989), and Banda Sonora (2002). He composed music for films, ballets, chamber works, and musicals such as El Retaule de la Llum, Més enllà del bosc, Canigó, and Fades. Notable collaborations include work with Lluís Llach, Maria del Mar Bonet, Raimon, Joan Isaac, and Esquirols. Camp's jazz interpretations of Nova Cançó melodies are featured in albums like Canço (1998) and País de cançons (2003). He also taught at the Catalonia College of Music.
