Claudio Lodati, born in 1954 in Turin, Italy, is an Italian jazz guitarist who began his musical career in the mid-1970s. He started playing with musicians from the Turin jazz scene, including Enrico Fazio, Carlo Actis Dato, and Fiorenzo Sordini, as part of the Art Studio. From 1983 to 1993, Lodati worked with the groups Dac'Corda and Vocal Desires. In 1994, he released two albums: Appesi Al Filo and Vocal Desires. Lodati performed at numerous Italian and international festivals and collaborated with artists like Ellen Christi, Antonello Salis, Maria Pia De Vito, Fred Frith, Hervé Bourde, Tiziana Ghiglioni, Habib Faye, Bobby Zankel, Tristan Honsinger, Hans Reichel, Guido Mazzon, Radu Malfatti, and Louis Sclavis. In 1988, Lodati began teaching jazz guitar at the music school in Turin.
