Allen Archer Prewitt, born in 1963 in Frankfort, Kentucky, is an American musician. He began his musical journey by drumming for bands such as Tunnel Dogs and Mudhead before playing bass with the Bangtails. In 1989, he co-founded The Coctails, who released six albums over seven years. Concurrently, Prewitt was involved in The Sea and Cake, a band known for their several releases. His solo career began with In the Sun (1997), followed by White Sky (1999). Subsequent releases include Gerroa Songs EP (2000) and the album Three (2002). In addition to his music, Prewitt has also been a freelance illustrator and cartoonist.
