Bulutsuzluk Özlemi, a Turkish rock band founded in 1984 by Nejat Yavaşoğulları, pioneered alternative rock in Turkey by blending Western rock melodies with Anatolian rhythms and Turkish lyrics. Their debut album, Bulutsuzluk Özlemi, was released in 1986. The band gained prominence for their political activism, notably during the Iraq War when they attached "No to War" stickers to their instruments, leading to banned music videos and canceled concerts. Notable albums include "Uçtu Uçtu" (1989) and "Güneşimden Kaç" (1992). The band has been involved in social projects and collaborations, such as the "Romance and Rock" project with Cem Adrian. Members have included Nejat Yavaşoğulları, Gencay Kıymaz, Sunay Özgür, Sina Koloğlu, and Deniz Demiröz.
