Quiana Lynell, born April 16, 1981 in Tyler, Texas, is an American blues and jazz singer, arranger, and songwriter. She was exposed to gospel music from a young age and sang in the all-state choir during high school. Lynell moved to Baton Rouge for her education, earning a B.A. degree in Vocal Performance from Louisiana State University on a scholarship. She began her singing career as a classical singer before exploring zydeco and R&B genres after meeting Janelle Brown of 2 Da T. In 2017, Lynell won the Sarah Vaughan International Jazz Vocal Competition, securing a recording contract with Concord Records. Her notable performances include collaborations with artists such as Nona Hendryx, Terence Blanchard, and Patti Austin, and appearances at the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival. In 2019, she released her album A Little Love under Concord Jazz.
