Julie May Wilson, born on October 21, 1924, in Omaha, Nebraska, was an American singer and actress. She started her musical career with a local group called "Hank's Hepcats" during her teenage years. Her breakthrough came when she moved to New York City during World War II, performing at nightclubs like the Latin Quarter and Copacabana. Wilson made her Broadway debut in Three to Make Ready (1946) and later starred in notable productions such as Kiss Me, Kate. She received a Tony Award nomination for Best Featured Actress in a Musical for her role in Legs Diamond (1988). Her discography includes albums such as the compilation Julie Wilson In London ... With Friends (2004). Julie May Wilson passed away on April 5, 2015.
