Blackfoot Sue was a British rock band formed in Birmingham in 1970. The group consisted of Tom Farmer on bass and vocals, his twin brother David Farmer on drums, Eddie Golga on guitar, and Alan Jones also on guitar. They began performing together as Gift during their school days in the mid-1960s. In 1972, they relocated to London and changed their name to Blackfoot Sue after a cat named Blackfoot that lived with them. Their breakthrough came with the release of "Standing In The Road" in June 1972, which became a European hit, reaching number 4 on the UK Singles Chart by September 16th. Despite subsequent singles like "Sing Don’t Speak" (1972) and "Get It All to Me" (1973), Blackfoot Sue failed to replicate the success of their breakthrough single. Their debut album Nothing To Hide was released in 1973. The band attempted to distance themselves from the glam rock label with songs like 1973's "Glittery Obituary". However, their second album Strangers, recorded in 1974, remained unreleased due to lack of success. Blackfoot Sue disbanded in 1977. Post-Blackfoot Sue, the band members released an album as Liner in 1979 and later reformed under the name Outside Edge in the 1980s.
