Clara Dent-Bogányi (born November 28, 1973, in Berlin) is a German-born Austrian oboist and professor. Dent-Bogányi received musical training at the Mozarteum University Salzburg under Arthur Jensen and earned a Master’s degree from the University of Music and Performing Arts Munich studying with Günther Passin. Dent-Bogányi was a prize-winner at the 1996 ARD International Music Competition and the 1998 Geneva International Music Competition. In 1999, Dent-Bogányi joined the Berlin Radio Symphony Orchestra as a solo oboist. Dent-Bogányi performed as a soloist with the Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra, the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra, and the Bavarian State Orchestra. Her solo discography included the albums Les Folies d’Espagne (2006) and La Primadonna. Dent-Bogányi served as a professor of oboe at the Hochschule für Musik Nürnberg from 2009 to 2025. In 2025, Dent-Bogányi accepted a professorship for French oboe at the Music and Arts University of the City of Vienna.
