The Lovely Feathers, a Canadian indie rock band from Montreal, Quebec, formed in 2004. The band gained initial recognition by winning an independent rock competition at Le Swimming bar-spectacle in Montreal that same year. Their debut album, My Best Friend Daniel, was released for the contest and served as a tribute to original keyboardist Daniel Suss, who left temporarily in 2005. Upon his return, The Lovely Feathers released Hind Hind Legs in 2006 via Equator Records and featured five reworked tracks from My Best Friend Daniel. Their subsequent album, Fantasy of the Lot, was released in June 2009, showcasing a more developed sound. The Lovely Feathers created music videos for "Frantic" and "Lowiza". After taking a hiatus in 2010, they reunited for a performance at Divan Orange in Montreal in 2014.
