Dara Puspita was an all-female rock group from Surabaya, Indonesia. Formed in 1964, notable members included Titiek Adji Rachman and her sister Lies Adji Rachman, Ani Kusuma, and Susy Nander on drums. The group encountered opposition from the Sukarno government due to its Western-influenced style but gained wider recognition following the release of its debut album, Jang Pertama (1966). This was followed by Green Green Grass and A Go Go in 1967. In July 1968, Dara Puspita embarked on a European tour lasting until December 1971, performing in multiple countries but with limited recording success. Upon returning to Indonesia, the band continued to attract large audiences before disbanding in March 1972. In 2010, two compilations were released: The Garage Years and 1966-1968. Lies Adji Rachman passed away on September 17, 2023.
