Ollie Bruce Williams, known professionally as Ali Vegas, was born on February 22, 1982, in Queens, New York. He is an American rapper who entered the New York City hip-hop scene around the late 1990s. Mentored by Onyx and Panama P.I., Ali Vegas's early tracks appeared on mixtapes, including collaborations with Capone. His first single, "Theme of N.Y.", was released in 2000 after signing to Columbia Records. Following a distribution deal loss, he moved to Tommy Mottola’s Casablanca Records but did not achieve mainstream success. After failing to release a full-length LP on major labels, Ali Vegas founded Council Recordings and later Rich Soil Entertainment with basketball player Lamar Odom. Notable releases include "The AV Theme" produced by Kanye West and the mixtape Veganomics in 2010. He continued releasing music through various independent projects, including collaborations with production teams like Sound Kamp.
