DVSR is an Australian rap metal, djent, and nu metal band from South Western Sydney, formed on November 24, 2013. Originally performing under the name Devastator, the ensemble released its debut music video for the single “Unconscious” on the day of its formation. In November 2015, the group adopted the name DVSR, an acronym for "Designed Via Strength & Respect", to avoid confusion with other bands. Their self-titled debut studio album, D.V.S.R., was issued on 23 November 2015. The lineup features the vocalist Matthew Youkhana, the guitarist Andrew Stevens, and the drummer Matthew Nekic. The bassist Julian Ellul joined the formation in 2016. In November 2017, the group released the EP Therapy, followed by its second studio album, West Technique, in August 2020. The band's discography includes the singles “Shutdown...” (2015), “Bad Company” (2016), and “Ready for War” (2018).
