Adelmo Buonocore, known professionally as Nino Buonocore, was born on July 26, 1958, in Naples, Italy, and is a singer-songwriter. He began his music career at the age of 20 with an auto-produced single "Sferisterio". Signed by RCA, he released several albums influenced by British new wave and synthpop. His breakthrough came in 1987 when he participated in the Sanremo Music Festival with the song "Rosanna", marking a shift towards a more melodic style. His discography includes notable albums such as Acida (1980) and Una città tra le mani (1988). Buonocore's biggest hit was the 1990 romantic ballad "Scrivimi", which sold approximately 4 million copies and was covered in twelve languages. He also released the album Un po' di più in 1993.
