He is a German musician, drummer and percussionist who is considered a formative figure in the electronic club and pop music of the early 1980s. George Kranz began working as a professional musician in the late 1960s and gained experience in jazz, rock and studio productions. In the 1970s, he established himself as a sought-after drummer and worked with various national and international artists. George Kranz achieved his international breakthrough as a solo artist in 1983 with the single "Din Daa Daa". The track combines electronic rhythms with percussive elements and reduced chanting and develops into a club and radio hit. "Din Daa Daa" achieves high chart positions, including number 1 in several European dance charts and number 8 in the US Billboard dance charts, and is still considered groundbreaking for electronic dance music today.
