Choi Minho, known professionally as Minos, was born on 17 February 1983 in Daegu, Republic of Korea, and established himself as a rapper within the Korean hip‑hop scene. He entered the industry in 1999 as a member of the hip‑hop collective Virus, collaborating with Mecca; the group released its first EP in 2003 and gained recognition for poetic and philosophical lyrics. In 2006, Minos joined the independent label Soul Company, forming the sub‑unit Eluphant with Kebee, and together issued the album Eluphant Bakery on 19 April 2006, which was re‑issued in 2008. The single "You’re Still Beautiful" from 2011 highlighted Minos’s collaborative work with prominent producers such as Artisan Beats and featured contributions from artists including Sung Hoon and Jung Soo‑wan. Throughout the late 2000s and early 2010s, Minos released a series of solo projects, including Ugly Talkin’ (2008), The Lost Files (2009), and Humanoid/Hypnotica (2011), and contributed to various compilations and side projects under labels such as Brand New Music.
