Oliver Malcolm is a Swedish-born, London-raised singer, songwriter, and producer who first built his reputation in his teens under the name Bigg Kidd, making beats, entering Los Angeles beat battles after moving there at 16, and working with artists such as Joey Bada$$, Jay Rock, IDK, AlunaGeorge, Masego, Tinashe, and MF DOOM before signing to Darkroom/Interscope in 2019. He launched his solo career in 2020 with the singles “Switched Up,” “Helen,” “Kevin,” “The Machine,” and “Outside,” then expanded that run in 2021 with the EP Are You Living in the Real World?, the singles “Skywalker,” “The Jungle,” and “Rolling Stone,” and a remix of Glass Animals’ “Tokyo Drifting.” In 2022 he entered a new release phase with Act One, followed by the single “Martian Man” and the EP Act Two, issued through Neon Spaceship and Venice Music. After returning in 2023 with the standalone single “What Am I To Do?,” he re-emerged in 2024 with “Cause of You,” “Station Hill,” and the seven-track release When Lightning Strikes, Wear It. He remained active in 2025 with “Rock & Roll” and “Off My Head,” and in 2026 added “SUPERMAN (OLIVER MALCOLM VERSION)” and “Ghosts,” continuing a catalog that moved between alternative pop, indie rock, rap, and punk-led production.
