Candy Shop is a South Korean girl group formed by Brave Entertainment, consisting of members Soram, Yuina, Sui, Sarang, and Julia. Brave Entertainment announced Candy Shop's formation in early 2024, the company's first girl group since Brave Girls in 2011. The unveiling of the members occurred gradually through the course of February 2024, with Sui, Sarang, Soram, and Yuina introduced to the public. A dance performance video for their debut track "Hashtag#" was released on February 18. Their debut EP, Hashtag#, including the single "Good Girl," was released on March 27, 2024. Hashtag# peaked at number 58 on the South Korean charts. In a turn of events in May 2024, member Yuina had to temporarily step back from group activities due to health-related issues. To ensure the group’s continuity, Julia was added to the lineup. This move maintained a four-member presence and prepared them for their upcoming releases. On June 12, 2024, Candy Shop revealed their second EP, Girls Don't Cry, featuring the singles "Don't Cry" and "Tumbler (Hot & Cold)." This release further solidified their presence in the K-pop industry, with Girls Don't Cry achieving a peak position of number 37 on the charts and receiving positive feedback from fans and critics alike.
