Hector Martin is a solo guitarist artist from Málaga, Andalucía. After moving down from Denmark to Spain, at 14 years old he quickly fell in love with live local music. Shortly after, he started to study and play music professionally with artists such as Tracey Lamb (Rock Goddess, Girl School, Sham 69), Matt Sargent (Sham 69, Chelsea, Drugs, Sex & HIV), Shaun Ward (Simply Red) and Jacquie Virgil.
Coming from a musical family, he had a great influence of rock, classical music and various styles of American music from the south, like blues and gospel. While playing his music in local places around the Costa del Sol, he started to develop his own style and got involved with composing and working on the southern American Delta style, mixed together with various other influences, creating a new and particular sound.
On October 2018, he released his first EP entitled “Recollection of a Journey”, which divides every song into a chapter that tells a story about a certain experience that he picked up on his journey in this life. Hector Martin is currently promoting this EP and is also working on brand new music to come out later this year.
