Laura Critchley is an English singer-songwriter born on March 27, 1984, in Little Sutton, Cheshire. She began singing at age seven and achieved early recognition by appearing as Jessica Simpson on the television program Stars in Their Eyes. In 2006, Critchley moved to London and signed with Big Print Records. She released her debut studio album, Sometimes I, on November 19, 2007, which featured the single “What Do We Do”. Critchley has toured as a support act for prominent artists including the Sugababes, Deacon Blue, and Boyzone. In 2008, her single “Today’s Another Day” reached number 4 on the British independent charts. Her professional collaborations include recording with Robbie Williams and performing a duet with Ronan Keating on “Last Thing on My Mind”. In 2010, she was selected as a backing vocalist for Tom Jones during his world tour. Critchley is also recognized for her charity work with organizations such as Help for Heroes and Children in Crisis.
