Team Doyobi is an electronic music duo from The Wolds, Lincolnshire, England, consisting of Christopher Gladwin and Alexander Peverett. Their collaboration began in the early 1990s when they produced electronic soundtracks for self-made video art using obsolete computers as musical instruments. Their initial releases were created entirely with Commodore sound chips, showcasing a stripped-down funky sound with simple synth leads and basslines combined with funk, R&B, or soul-like rhythms. Their debut release was the Req / Team Doyobi split 12" series (1999). They performed at All Tomorrow's Parties in 2003 and 2004 and supported Autechre on their European tour in 2001. Their music, described as glitchy, 8-bit, and psychedelic, was inspired by video games and movie soundtracks of the 1970s and 1980s. They signed to Skam Records and released notable albums including Cryptoburners (2001), Choose Your Own Adventure (2004), and The Kphanapic Fragments (2006). Other notable releases include the EP Push Chairs For Grown Ups (2000) and Digital Music Volume 1 (2012).
