Harmonica Hinds (born Mervyn H.G. Hinds; January 4, 1945) is a Trinidadian-American blues singer, harmonica player, guitarist, and social worker. Raised in Trinidad, he relocated to Canada (Ottawa and Toronto) before moving to Chicago in 1970. Hinds lived in New Orleans from 1976 to 1983 before returning permanently to Chicago. He gained recognition in the 1970s as a member of the house band at Theresa's Lounge, frequently performing with Junior Wells. Hinds appeared on the 1984 album Muddy Waters: The Hoochie Coochie Man and collaborated with artists including Koko Taylor, Eddie Taylor, and Mud Morganfield. His debut solo album, Finally, appeared in 2008. His discography includes From the Country to the City (2009), I Would Give You Anything If I Could (2010), and If Speed Was Just a Thought (2012). Hinds performed at seven Chicago Blues Festivals and held a residency at Buddy Guy's Legends.
