Mark Kolani Sagapolutele (performing as Mareko; born 15 June 1981) is a New Zealand hip hop artist from South Auckland. Sagapolutele began a career as a member of the crew Deceptikonz, which received nominations for several New Zealand music awards in 2001. Sagapolutele released the solo debut album White Sunday in 2003, which reached number 4 on the New Zealand charts. The record featured the singles “Mareko (Here to Stay)”, which reached number 4, and “Stop, Drop and Roll” (featuring Deceptikonz), which reached number 6. In 2006, Sagapolutele performed on Tha Feelstyle’s single “I Do Believe (Tha Remix)”, reaching number 17. Sagapolutele released a second album, White Sunday 2: The Book of Mark, in 2008, followed by the 2009 single “Them Eyes”, which reached number 39. In 2022, Sagapolutele collaborated with Ricky Paul Muzik on the album Untitled: Act I, which reached number 32 in New Zealand.
