Blues Section was a Finnish rock band formed in 1967 around vocalist Jim Pembroke, a British expatriate songwriter. The group included Eero Koivistoinen on saxophone, Ronnie Österberg on drums, Hasse Walli on guitar, and Måns Groundstroem on bass. Influenced by John Mayall's Bluesbreakers and Jimi Hendrix, the band released their self-titled debut album 1967 on Love Records. Notable singles from this period include "Call Me On Your Telephone" and "Hey, Hey, Hey". In 1968, Groundstroem and Pembroke left the band, leading to a series of lineup changes that ultimately resulted in Blues Section disbanding by the end of the year.
