Skydiggers is a Canadian roots rock band from Toronto, formed by Andy Maize and Josh Finlayson. Initially known as West Montrose, the duo later expanded to include Peter Cash, Wayne Stokes, and Ron Macey. The band's breakthrough came with their self-titled debut album Skydiggers released in 1990 under Enigma Records, which featured singles "Monday Morning" and "I Will Give You Everything". In 1992, they released their second album Restless, which included the hit single "A Penny More", produced by John Oliveira. The band's third album, Just Over This Mountain (1993), won them a Juno Award for Most Promising Group. Subsequent albums include Road Radio (1995) and Desmond's Hip City (1997). In 2013, Skydiggers released the album She Comes Into The Room. Throughout their career, Skydiggers have been signed to various labels including FRE Records, Warner Canada, DROG Records, MapleMusic Recordings, and Latent Recordings.
