Rainz, a South Korean boy band formed under Kiss Entertainment, debuted on 12 October 2017 after its seven members-Kim Seong‑ri, Ju Won‑tak, Lee Ki‑won, Jang Dae‑hyeon, Hong Eun‑ki, Byun Hyun‑min, and Seo Sung‑hyuk-completed the survival program Produce 101 Season 2. Their debut extended play SUNSHINE was released on the same day, featuring tracks such as "All Night Kinda Night", "Dilemma", and "Rainy Day (톡톡)", which entered the Korean charts and garnered a cumulative sales figure exceeding 28,000 copies. In early 2018, the group issued a second EP, SHAKE YOU UP, on 24 January, with the single "Turn It Up" receiving notable digital traction in both Korea and Japan. The band’s discography also includes soundtrack contributions, notably "병원선 OST Part 1" (30 August 2017) and the Japanese single "好きなんて" (1 August 2018). Rainz performed in Japan throughout 2018, culminating in their final group activities on 28 October 2018, after which they officially disbanded and returned to their respective agencies. The group’s concise yet impactful presence in the K‑pop and J‑pop scenes is reflected in their chart performances and the continued appreciation of their early releases by fans.
