Ellie Drennan, born Eloise Suzanne Drennan on 28 October 1998 in the Central Coast, New South Wales, is an Australian pop singer who rose to prominence through her vocal talent and songwriting. She first attracted national attention as a contestant on The Voice Australia in 2015, where she joined Team Jessie J and became the youngest winner of the series at age 16; her winning single "Ghost" entered the ARIA Singles Chart at number 25. Following the competition, Drennan released her debut album Close Your Eyes on 11 September 2015 through Universal Music Australia, which peaked at number 14 on the ARIA Albums Chart. Her subsequent single "Hard Love" entered the top 50 of the ARIA Singles Chart, reinforcing her commercial presence. After a period of relative quiet, Drennan returned to the music scene in 2019 with the independent digital single "Taxi", marking her first release outside a major label. Throughout her career, Drennan has maintained a focus on melodic pop with middle‑of‑the‑road sensibilities, and her achievements include chart placements, a national television victory, and continued releases that demonstrate her evolving artistry.
