Get The Cat is a blues band, founded in 1997 under the name Dog Party Blues Band in the Cologne/Bergisches Land area. Originally led by Roemer, the group underwent several lineup changes before evolving into Get The Cat after a significant personnel shift in 2008. Their album as Get The Cat, I Sing You the Blues, was released in 2010. The band's roster featured Astrid Barth on vocals, Ralph Schläger on drums, and Till Brandt on bass. Since 2014, the band has been playing with a new lineup consisting of Melanie Bartsch, Jens Filser, Till Brandt, and Bernd Oppel. They continued to release albums, including The Way to My Heart in 2018 under the Osnabrücker Label Timezone.
