Cosmic Psychos are an Australian punk rock band from Melbourne formed in 1982 as Spring Plains. The ensemble was renamed in 1984 following the addition of lead vocalist and bassist Ross Knight. They released the debut extended play Down on the Farm (1985) followed by their eponymous debut studio album, Cosmic Psychos (1987). After signing with Survival Records, they issued the studio recording Go the Hack (1989), which featured the track “Lost Cause” (1989). In 1990, guitarist Robbie "Rocket" Watts replaced Peter Jones. They achieved professional recognition for the studio album Blokes You Can Trust (1991), which was produced by Butch Vig. Their recording career includes the studio albums Self Totalled (1995), Oh What a Lovely Pie (1997), and Off Ya Cruet! (2005). Following the death of Watts in 2006, the ensemble added guitarist John McKeering. Their discography includes the studio recordings Dung Australia (2007), Glorius Barsteds (2011), and I Really Like Beer (2025).
