Aasmund Nordstoga, born on August 26, 1964, in Vinje, Telemark, Norway, is a Norwegian musician, singer, and composer. Coming from a musical family, his mother Ellen is a folk singer, and his father, Olav Nordstoga, is a folk singer, lyricist, and causer. He is also related to Kåre Nordstoga, a musician from Notodden. Aasmund Nordstoga made his solo debut in 2009 with the album Ein visefugg, for which he was nominated for the Spellemannsprisen award. In 2010, he released the album Friaren. The following year saw the release of Tolv dagar i jola, and in 2015, he released Sæle Jolekveld with Gunnhild Sundli. Aasmund Nordstoga received the Nynorsk User of the Year award in 2014.
